Open Garden Events
This usual garden design manages to link many interesting features and different planting schemes into a reasonably small space of 120' x 80'.
The majority of the garden has been created in the last ten years and during this time we have complied a set of photographs showing the construction and major works on show.
The design was developed by Richard Clapham who is present on open days and will be pleased to help with any questions about the garden design, ponds and planting.
New this year is a bamboo walk, with different many types being planted to compliment the Japanese style glass house. There is a shady secret garden with hostas, ferns, ivy's and foxgloves and island beds of mature slow growing conifers with different forms, colours and habits.
We have dedicated one bed to silver and blue foliage plants and conifers which creates a lovely contrast with the stone paving and Westmoreland rocks.
